Jim Winfield joined VFG’s marketing department in May of 2016. His mission is to help establish and grow business relationships while retaining customers.
He is a graduate of Gateway Tech with a degree in Electronics. From 1983 to ’87 Jim served in the United States Air Force. He spent the majority of his enlistment in Gloucestershire, England with the USAF’s 11th Strategic Group stationed at R.A.F. Fairford.
After the Air Force, and in true 80’s fashion, Jim let his locks grow long and he worked as a journalist for Pittsburgh’s legendary Rock N’ Roll Reporter. That experience fed Jim’s zest for life and gave him the opportunity to meet a lot of people from different backgrounds brought together as one by their love for music.
Jim went on to work briefly in the software industry and from there enjoyed a 15-year career in the real estate settlement and mortgage services industry.
Jim brings a contagiously positive attitude to VFG. He is extremely talented and possesses many skills highly valued by VFG that come from his successful experience in vendor relations, client services, problem-solving and technical solutions. To be working with a company as exceptional as VFG has been a long sought-after goal for Jim and he is excited to be part of such an outstanding team.
In his spare time, Jim enjoys biking, traveling, music, and weekends at home with his wife Kim. They are proud parents of their son Dylon, a recently published author.
Always one to give back to the community, Jim has been a long-time supporter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, AIM at Melanoma Foundation, City Mission and Covent House.
